Model 10 Soybean Roaster
The Model 10 Soybean Roaster is a compact, fully automated roasting system built for smaller dairy farms feeding around 200 to 800 cows. With a capacity of up to 3,000 lbs. of soybeans per day, it delivers the same consistent roasting performance as the larger model—just in a smaller footprint. Designed for continuous 24/7 operation, this electric-powered system uses heated oil in a double-wall chamber to roast soybeans at approximately 250-280°F for half an hour. The oil self-circulates due to the unit’s incline, keeping the temperature stable throughout the process. Beans then enter a steeping chamber for another 15 minutes of steeping to ensure even internal roasting.
After steeping, beans are moved to an 18″ hammermill that grinds up to 5 tons per hour. It features reversible hammers, a quick-change screen, and an adjustable outlet angle, producing a consistent grind through a 1/4″ to 5/16″ screen—perfect for dairy feeding.
The system runs from a simple touchscreen panel that controls all components and includes built-in safety features, timers, over-temp shutoffs, and fill sensors. Everything is pre-wired inside a 40′ shipping container—just connect your power, attach your fill auger, and install your discharge piping. You’re ready to roast!
Model 14 Soybean Roaster
The Model 14 Soybean Roaster is a fully automated, electric-powered roasting system. Designed to process up to 8,000 lbs. of soybeans per day, the Model 14 Soybean Roaster is ideal for dairy farms feeding 500 to 1,500 head. Capacities can be increased by adding an expansion unit, increasing capacity up to 24,000 lbs. per day. Built for continuous 24/7 operation, it offers consistent, high-quality roasted soybeans to support improved dairy feed nutrition. Soybeans are first roasted at approximately 280-310°F for 15 minutes using an oil-jacketed chamber heated by electric elements. As the oil heats, it naturally circulates due to the roaster’s incline, maintaining a stable roasting temperature. After roasting, the beans enter a steeping chamber, where they steep for another 15 minutes.
The beans are then augered to an 18” hammermill. The hammermill can process up to 5 tons per hour. Powered by an electric motor, it includes reversible hammers for extended life, a quick-release screen for easy maintenance, and an adjustable outlet angle for optimal grain flow. The hammermill grinds the roasted soybeans through a 1/4” to 5/16” screen for ideal feeding consistency.
The system is controlled by a user-friendly touchscreen panel that operates all components, including built-in safety features, over-temp protection, timers, and fill sensors. Everything is pre-wired in a 40′ shipping container for easy installation. Just plug in your electric service, hook up your fill auger to the inlet hopper, and install the discharge piping to your hopper bin or feed bunk—and you’re ready to roast!
Model 18 Soybean Roaster
The SoyRoaster Model 18 by A.N. Martin Systems is a high-capacity, fully automated solution engineered to process up to 18,000 lbs. of soybeans per day for continuous, 24/7 operation. To fit the unique needs of your farm, we offer two distinct installation paths: a convenient turnkey container system that arrives pre-wired and ready for a simple “plug-and-play” setup, or a cost-effective DIY component kit that allows you to install and wire the system yourself within an existing barn or shed.
The precision roasting process begins with beans cooking for over 15 minutes at 280-310°F in a double-wall pipe where heated oil naturally circulates for an even cook, followed by a fifteen-minute steep to ensure deep heat penetration. After roasting, a high-power axial fan cools the beans before they are processed by an 18-inch hammermill capable of grinding five tons per hour for the perfect dairy feed consistency.
The entire operation is managed through an intuitive touchscreen panel equipped with safety sensors and automated shutoffs for reliable, walk-away performance that can even be adapted for other grains as your operation evolves.
DIY Roaster Kit
The DIY SoyRoaster Kit is a great option for farmers who want the flexibility to install their soybean roasting system themselves. We ship you all the individual components—roaster, cooling hopper, hammermill, and control panel—ready for assembly. Wiring and installation are not included, allowing you to customize the setup to fit your operation.
You can install the system inside your own feed building for easier access and maintenance, or we can provide a shipping container if preferred. This option is especially useful for larger systems with an expansion unit, where installation in a feed building makes daily operation and service more convenient.
8 Ton Expansion Unit
The SoyRoaster Expansion Unit is the solution for dairy farms looking to increase their roasting capacity without needing a whole new system. Housed in its own shipping container, the expansion unit can be placed beside or stacked on top of your existing SoyRoaster. Each unit includes one or two additional roasters and cooling hoppers, boosting your total daily capacity to 16,000 or 24,000 lbs. of soybeans.
Best of all, the expansion unit is designed to work with your current SoyRoaster—no need for extra control panels. It wires directly into the original touchscreen control system for seamless operation. Once the soybeans are roasted and cooled, they flow by auger or gravity into the existing hammermill. A single hammermill is capable of keeping up with the output from up to three roasters by alternating which cooling hopper unloads, ensuring continuous, efficient grinding.
The expansion unit includes all necessary equipment, including the roaster, cooling hopper, and transfer auger or chute—and is also available as a DIY kit if you prefer to install it in your own building.
