The Model 18 Roaster by A.N. Martin Systems is a fully automated, high-capacity roasting system built for larger farming operations. Capable of processing up to 18,000 lbs. of soybeans per day, it is designed for continuous 24/7 operation to meet the demands of your herd.

We understand that every farm is different. That’s why the Model 18 is available in two distinct packages:

1. Turnkey Container System: For maximum convenience, the entire system arrives pre-wired and professionally installed in a shipping container. This plug-and-play solution makes on-site setup fast and simple—just connect your power source, a fill auger, and your discharge piping to get started.

2. DIY Component System: To save on costs and gain flexibility, choose our component kit. We will ship you all the individual components of the Model 18 system directly to your farm. This allows you to install the equipment in an existing barn, shed, or building. By handling the installation and wiring yourself, you can significantly reduce your upfront investment while creating a setup that’s perfectly integrated into your operation.

The Roasting Process: Precision and Quality

The Model 18 uses a reliable, multi-stage process to ensure a consistent, high-quality result.

• Roasting: Soybeans are cooked for thirty minutes at 250−280∘F inside a double-wall pipe containing heated oil. The unit’s incline causes the oil to naturally circulate, maintaining a stable temperature for an even roast.

• Steeping: After the initial roast, the beans move into a steeping chamber for another 15 minutes. This allows the heat to fully penetrate the bean, ensuring a thoroughly cooked and digestible product.

• Cooling & Grinding: The roasted beans are then cooled to ambient temperature in a hopper equipped with a high-power axial fan. Finally, an 18” hammermill processes up to 5 tons per hour, featuring reversible hammers and a quick-change screen to deliver a consistent grind ideal for dairy feed.

Automated for Easy Operation

The entire system is managed by a user-friendly touchscreen panel. With built-in automation, safety sensors, timers, and over-temp shutoffs, the Model 18 is designed for safe, walk-away operation you can depend on.
