How To Install The SoyRoaster

Installing the SoyRoaster is a straightforward process with minimal setup time. Each unit is shipped pre-assembled inside a 40-foot shipping container, with all core components—including the roaster, cooling hopper, transfer auger, hammermill, blower, and touchscreen control panel—already in place and factory wired. Whether you set the container outside on a gravel pad or install the system inside your feed building, the SoyRoaster is designed for quick integration into your existing feed system.

To begin installation, choose a level site where you have easy access to electric service and soybean storage. Your electrician will only need to connect the main power supply to the system’s disconnect; everything else is already wired and tested at our shop. The automated control panel manages all system functions with built-in timers, safety sensors, and over-temp protection, all operated from an easy-to-use touchscreen.

Next, install your fill auger from the unload point of your soybean bin up to the top or side of the SoyRoaster container. The beans will gravity-flow from the auger directly into the inlet hopper of the roaster. After roasting, steeping, cooling, and grinding, the roasted soymeal exits the container through the hammermill discharge. You’ll need to assemble and connect the discharge piping and cyclone from the container to your destination—whether it’s a storage bin, feed bunk, or blending system.

If you’re looking for flexibility, the SoyRoaster is also available as a DIY Kit. This option allows farmers to install the system components in their own feed building, and save on electrical, installation, and shipping costs. With the DIY kit, you can install up to three roasters side by side, all feeding into a single hammermill. The built-in automation allows the system to stagger discharge from each cooling hopper, enabling one hammermill to run continuously and keep up with the combined capacity of three units.

With minimal setup and unmatched reliability, the SoyRoaster makes it easy to bring high-quality, roasted soybeans into your dairy or livestock operation—24 hours a day. Contact us today to learn more or get a quote!
